- 1 cup dried green or brown lentils (soak overnight)

- 1 garlic clove, sliced

- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp ground chilli (optional I love spicy food)
- Use a large frypan over a medium heat add lentils, salt and 2 cups of water. Bring the water to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer for 10-12 minutes. Check the lentils to make sure they are done. (the water should almost be gone) but there still should be a little bit. If there isn’t add about 1/3 of a cup of water.
